Baxters & Co
Info
We were approached by Giulia Baxter to create a cohesive and elegant brand for Baxter & Co, her architectural and interior design practice. With a diverse audience of upscale clients and suppliers in mind, we developed a visual identity system that was both refined and highly functional across applications, stationery, hoardings, presentations, and more.
We chose a wordmark-led approach to keep communication direct and uncluttered. Anchoring the brand in Giulia’s surname, the wordmark serves as a strong, minimal signature. For typeface, we selected IBM Plex® Mono by IBM BX&D, an elegant, distinctive alternative to the conventional grotesques or geometric fonts common in the sector. Its clarity and subtle character allowed for consistency across all touchpoints.
Simplicity guided every design decision. Drawing on spatial hierarchies and white space, we referenced architectural and interior principles to create a clean, balanced system. The colour palette centres on a deep emerald green, evocative, grounded, paired with a soft pale raspberry accent for contrast and warmth.
To enhance tactility, we printed brand materials on Kendall Manilla Dark Green by James Cropper (250gsm, fresh fibre emboss), reinforcing the hero tone and the practice’s understated sophistication. The result is a brand identity that is quietly confident, practical, and beautifully restrained, just like the work of Baxter & Co.
