When Wndell, a respected architectural firm with over 110 offices across Germany and Sweden, approached us at COSMOS™, they were at a pivotal moment. With more than 30 years of history and a reputation built on honesty, transparency, and innovation, their brand had remained untouched for over a decade. While that consistency had served them well, it was time to signal a bold step into the next 30 years.
Our task was clear: craft a future-proof identity that reflects Wndell’s high standards and forward-thinking ethos. We developed a “one-brand experience” rooted in a new strategic platform, brand expression, and communication concept. The result is a refined yet dynamic visual identity inspired by the minimalism and precision of Scandinavian design – evoking craftsmanship, clarity, and community.
Rather than rely on the name alone, which simply means ‘wanderer’ or ‘seeker’, we introduced a striking new symbol. At once a ‘W’, a dynamic, and an abstract architectural form, it balances intrigue and legibility, working equally well at digital scale and on large-format signage.
To reinforce the identity, we selected Aeonik as the sole typeface – confident, direct, and versatile. Like the mark itself, it embodies Wndell’s clarity of purpose and renewed ambition.
